Project Topics Market Research Marketing Product Design & Development Research, Analysis, Evaluation Sales & Business Development Strategic Planning
Skills & Expertise
Project Synopsis: Challenge/Opportunity
Rescription Inc. is revolutionizing the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) landscape with a transparent, tech-enabled model built on real-time drug pricing and trust. With major disruptors shaking up the industry, Rescription has a powerful value proposition—but it needs a smarter, sharper channel strategy to reach and convert more plan sponsors, employers, and healthcare partners.
The challenge? Navigate and evaluate a complex map of traditional and nontraditional sales channels—from benefits brokers and TPAs to insurance captives and carve-outs—and chart the best course for scaling.
MBA interns will explore this commercial frontier and help Rescription build a go-to-market playbook grounded in rigorous market intel, channel prioritization, and tested outreach strategy.
Project Synopsis: Activities/Actions Required
  1. Analyze traditional PBM sales channels (brokers, consultants, RFP platforms, TPAs) and emerging ones (captives, coalitions).
  2. Evaluate the fit of each channel with Rescription’s transparency-first model.
  3. Identify and prioritize the highest-potential sales routes based on reach, cost-efficiency, speed, and alignment.
  4. Build a dynamic “channel fit” matrix and go-to-market roadmap.
  5. Draft tailored sales messaging for brokers, TPAs, and captives.
  6. Collaborate with Rescription’s leadership to refine the strategy and pitch it internally.
Project Synopsis: Expected Results
  • Rescription receives a well-researched channel strategy with clear prioritization.
  • Executive team is equipped with compelling sales messaging and a go-to-market plan.
  • Interns uncover new partnership models that are financially viable and strategically aligned.
  • Implementation roadmap provides a clear 6–12 month plan.
  • Final presentation meets or exceeds expectations in quality, insight, and actionability.
